The prestigious Responsible Tourism Awards were founded in 2004 to discover, recognise, and promote good practice contributing to the development of new solutions and replication. The winners provide inspiring models and clear evidence of impact.

The awards were originally founded by Justin Francis of Responsible Travel. The Responsible Tourism Awards were founded to celebrate examples of good practice in the travel industry and encourage change. ICRT global founder Harold Goodwin has chaired the judging since 2004.

The decades of award winners provides a rich picture of innovative travel organisations working to improve tourism responsibly. We’d like to make this archive easily accessible.

We are therefore compiling tables of all Responsible Tourism Award winners by region. You can use these tables to review winners by year and by award won, together with the award citations.
