ICRT Finland was established in 2015 and welcomes anybody interested in Responsible Tourism in the region: practitioners, branches and individual supporters.

The members of ICRT Finland share a common purpose in developing and promoting the concept of Responsible Tourism through advocacy, education, training and research. As a regional network under ICRT global, ICRT Finland shares a commitment to the 2002 Cape Town Declaration on Responsible Tourism in Destinations and the updated, 2022 Responsible Tourism Charter.  ICRT global and ICRT Finland work severally and together to further its objectives. 

ICRT Finland is a network of individuals representing different backgrounds eager to enhance Responsible Tourism. There are currently more than 130 members in the network from academia, DMOs, tourism enterprises, national tourism organisations, NGOs and municipalities.

• To share information and knowledge on current issues in Responsible Tourism
• To encourage and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences among Responsible Tourism academics and practitioners
• To run Responsible Tourism related conferences and workshops together with various stakeholders
• To undertake research on the practice of Responsible Tourism to create knowledge about the impacts of Responsible Tourism strategies and to determine which approaches are most successful in achieving the objectives of Responsible Tourism
• To provide training on Responsible Tourism at Bachelor and Masters level, both independently and in association with ICRT global
