Using audited accounts to record and evidence creating shared value will be a major focus during a third Responsible Tourism Conference being held at the Piggs Peak Hotel in Eswatini this year.
Glynn O’Leary of ICRT Southern Africa and CEO of Transfrontier Parks Destination said: “this year’s conference theme is creating shared value: from action to impact. For those of you who can join us in person you’ll be able to engage with industry leaders and stakeholders on how we can turn sustainable practices into tangible results. And for the first time we look forward to welcoming virtual delegates who have signed in from all over the world.
Harold Goodwin, founder of ICRT global will be speaking at the conference and has worked with Glynn O Leary on three pilots which will demonstrate how Audited accounts can support claims and robust certifiable evidence of local economic impact.
The event will bring together policymakers, tourism operators, academics and community leaders to explore practical strategies for strengthening responsible tourism and ensuring that tourism development benefits local communities, protects the environment and celebrates Eswatini’s rich cultural heritage.
